Summary
The Irish Arts Center (IAC), a New York City-based multidisciplinary center for Irish arts and culture founded in 1972, seeks applicants for the position of Associate Director of Development. S/he will report directly to the Executive Director and will drive the organization's fundraising activities on a day-to-day basis, including events, program sponsorship, individual appeals, major donor cultivation (corporate and private), grant writing, grants management and budgeting, and research and prospecting. In addition, s/he will work closely with the Executive Director, board members, and consultants in developing strategic partnerships, cultivating important donor relationships, and increasing public outreach.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of work experience in a New York non-profit fundraising environment. This is an opportunity for a dynamic, ambitious individual who can set priorities and work independently, and manage multiple assignments.

Candidates should be detail-oriented and highly organized, possess excellent written communications and interpersonal skills, a passion for arts and culture, and the desire to play an integral role in a growing organization.

IAC recently completed a strategic reorganization that dramatically increased the company’s visibility, creative output, and earned and contributed revenues. A $1.3 million organization, IAC is in the early stages of a capital campaign to build a first class new facility on the west side of Manhattan. The Associate Director of Development will make a significant contribution in transforming the company that will inhabit this new facility, while gaining considerable skills, experience, and knowledge in nonprofit fundraising and leadership.
