Summary

PURPOSE OF POSITION:The Senior Systems Test Engineer is a versatile engineer, responsible for the design and implementation of testing, test strategies, process and procedures for testing medical device systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:" Develop and conduct laboratory testing protocols and document results. This may include the development of test apparatus and/or fixtures." Maintain an accurate lab notebook and record of assignments and results including documentation concerning materials, parts used, concepts, designs, drawings, and processes." Maintain a clean, safe, and well organized work area. May be asked to develop a lab area for a specific development and this may include ordering various material and pieces of equipment and organizing that area of the lab for such a development." Update supervisor of work status or problems with recommendations for improvement or correction." Support Good Laboratory Procedures and QA systems during all phases of development, including pre-production, pre-clinical testing programs, and post production." Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures." Working with system and module requirements to develop test requirements and procedures." Create Verification and Validation protocols" Execute Verification and Validation protocols" Write Verification and Validation reports" Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with and navigation of PC computer platforms and software (Excel, Word, and Windows XP)." Labview use for simulation data acquisition and analysis, software validation and file management" Implementation of test procedures using SW development tools as well as electronic laboratory instrumentation.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:" BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field." Minimum 10+ years of test and/or development experience" Experience in medical devices (Required)" Small/start up company experience (Required)" Labview experience (Required)" Proven experience in developing and conducting laboratory testing protocols and documenting results. This may include test apparatus and/or fixtures." Proven experience working with system and module requirements to develop test requirements and procedures. (Required)" Proven experience creating and executing Verification and Validation (V&V) protocols. (Required)" Proven experience in documenting test results and writing Verification and Validation (V&V) reports. (Required)" Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers" Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through and report on the status of projects" Senior level experience (Required)" Strong writing skills (Required)" Biomedical Engineering experience is a plus
