Summary

Extreme Technologies is looking for an immediate hire for a *Business Unit Tech Liaison* to join an exciting team. You will be the key to development of critical executive level Cognos Reporting. Supporting the business unit entails:Local candidates ONLY on this position. Out of town candidates will not be considered.Requirements*Detailed comprehension of business processes and procedures.*Detailed comprehension of business applications and their underlying structures and data.*Ability to analyze business needs and develop Cognos reports for specific audiences (both internal and external customers).*Development of complex Cognos reports with an emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.*Ability to react quickly to changing business or governmental demands.*Ability to self manage and multi-task consistently.*Design and create Access database applications to implement and maintain processed that will improve department efficiencies.*Provide technical assistance on all systems to aid in the productivity of the department staff.*Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for managers and supervisors.Qualifications:*3+ years experience with Cognos Report Development (Report Studio)*5+ years SQL*3+ years Access/VBA*Experience with Cognos BI tools: Report Studio, Query Studio , Analysis Studio *Experience creating multi-prompt reports with drill-thru capabilities*Experience with the design and development of charts, graphs and Dashboards*Experience / knowledge working with Relational Databases * Oracle, SQL server, Access*Experience implementing Cognos Security at report level *Experience in scheduling and monitoring Jobs*Experience with MS Access, Designing, creating and distributing reports*Knowledge of SQL*Ability to write ad-hoc queries for report data validation, pass-throughs, tuning of sql.*Outstanding communication skills and interacting with executive users are a must.*Ability to assess business needs and create requirements documents.*Communicate with internal & external customers, supervisor and management, using clear, user-friendly terminology (email, phone, meetings).*Effectively self-manage in order to stay on course with project timelines.
