Homes for the Homeless works to reduce homelessness and poverty by providing homeless families living at five American Family Inns with the education, employment training, and support services that will enable them to gain and retain permanent housing and achieve independence. The Institute for Children and Poverty, the research and training division of Homes for the Homeless, aims to reduce the number of homeless and poor families nationwide through the development and dissemination of successful model programs and innovative research.
Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is looking for a freelance writer to write the content/stories for our news bulletin and annual report. The ideal candidate should be an experienced writer who can craft original content summarizing/featuring HFH’s programs, activities, events and services in a fun, up-lifting, reader-friendly way.
Applicant Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of writing experience
- BA/BS in English, Journalism or equivalent
- Organized and able to meet deadlines
- Highly imaginative/creative
