Summary

Responsibilities

	Plan, implement and monitor internal controls, systems, and procedures.
	Schedule and conduct regular and timely audits, providing reports on findings and suggesting corrective actions as necessary.
	Assist with planning and conducting spot audits.
	Assist with determining the adequacy of authorization and recording procedures for providing reasonable accounting control over assets, liabilities, income and expenses
	Review pertinent documents necessary for detecting the existence of an audit trail for all records and systems.
	Monitor activity and file maintenance in accounting records and data processing systems.
	Assist with the evaluation of compliance with applicable regulations.
	Assist with the preparation and coordination of efforts by external auditors.
	Travel 50% to various overseas project locations including Iraq and Afghanistan to conduct audits.

Required Skills

	At least 2 years of experience in a related field required
	Very strong analytical and writing skills
	Knowledge of accounting and financial practices and procedure
	Understanding of Auditors’ Code of Ethics and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
	Familiarity with international operations.
	Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact across multiple cultures
	Ability to effectively communicate across multiple practices and cultures, both verbally and in writing
	Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Suite
