The Industrial Business Solution Coordinator & Business Counselor will encourage industrial retention, business development and area improvement in the Maspeth Industrial Business Zone in Queens. This is accomplished through access to financing, programs and tax incentives and facilitating issues with government agencies on business’ behalf. The job is unique position; you will work with businesses large and small, deal with government, and be a part of a Bloomberg administration program to retain and grow industrial jobs in NYC. You will learn about and assist a wide range of business types, from heavy manufacturing to food distributors, construction companies to waste companies. The position is with a non-profit agency which assists an ethnically diverse range of NYC communities start and grow their businesses.
Requirements:
? Develop a rapport with industrial businesses in the community through outreach, and serve as a primary point of contact for area businesses.
? Assist industrial companies to access incentive and business services including help with management, loan packaging, real estate, procurement, etc and provide both one-on-one technical assistance
? Run meetings for community development among businesses and attend community board meetings.
? Alerting and assisting businesses of /with new incentives and programs to save them money and become the go-to person for local businesses for resolutions with issues and assistance with new projects.
? Being in the field getting to know businesses and enjoy being out of the office.
