The Tribeca Film Institute is seeking an accomplished freelance grant writer to research and write grants for foundation and government funding. The Tribeca Film Institute is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization offering year-round fiscal and professional support for filmmakers and arts education opportunities for New York City youth. RESPONSIBILITIES

Write, edit and coordinate proposals, reports, letters of inquiry and budget narratives for foundations and government agencies;

Work with relevant program department heads and the business office to coordinate all aspects of the grant/proposal/LOI (narrative and financial);

Craft persuasive, strong and concise program narratives, including sourcing appropriate research to clarify needs within the field;

Effectively articulate outcomes and interpret existing program and financial information;

Conduct in-depth research to identify potential new sources of institutional support;

Prepare interim and final reports for existing institutional supporters.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 4 years experience as a grant writer in the New York City cultural arena (ideally in the fields of film, arts-education or new media);

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously;

Detail oriented, extremely organized and technologically savvy;

Ability to manage short deadlines and take initiative;

Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred.
