The COO/CFO provides guidance and ensures effective execution of all the foundation’s spending and investment objectives. In addition, this executive will engage with the foundation’s social enterprise grantees, providing support in the areas of entrepreneurship and business planning. The COO/CFO assists the CEO and Board Chair with board recruitment, development and overall governance processes; and is the executive responsible for staffing the Board finance and investment, audit and governance committees.
The ideal candidate will have an MBA and/or equivalent in experience, paid work experience managing a start-up enterprise(s) and a proven track record of developing, managing, and executing organizational business plans. The candidate shall also demonstrate the experience, expertise and knowledge of the intersection between social entrepreneurship and information technologies, and ability to evaluate the fiscal impact of technology related investments in underserved communities and non-profits.
