Summary
This position is responsible for sorting different grades of material on delivery in the yard or in a specific department. They will have direct contact with all the customers. They will weigh, sort, upgrade and package materials. Operate computer, machinery and small equipment Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values.

Responsibilities
Identify scrap, including the grade and type of material and any undesirable elements within the material
Sort material, removing unshreddables from conveyor belt or material piles and upgrade material whenever possible
Cross train to use hi-lo, loader or other equipment occasionally
Pay close attention to details including safety procedures, possible material obstructions and undesirable materials.
Torching in the processing of material.
Operate touch screen computer
Weigh incoming Non-Ferrous peddler scrap
Learn the different grades and types of metals
Deal face to face with customers, explain material
General housekeeping
Required Skills
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Must be able to operate a Loader (Heavy Equipment Experience)
Must pay attention to detail
Must be safety conscious
Willing to work in an outdoor environment.
