Inspect equipment for hose assembly that needs replacement due to wear and tear, abrasion, abuse, leak, damage or failure
Setup test equipment to evaluate and test components
Analyze causes of assembly failure to determine whether the cause was due to abrasion, high pressure, high temperature, improper assembly or other causes and provide customer with the proper product recommendation and right application
Analyze causes of improper assembly such as under or over crimping, incorrect skive parameters, incorrect mix and match of assembly, twisting or over bending of hose assembly
Create build sheets for OEM hose assembly equivalent or recommended Manuli hose assemblies for each equipment
Design hose assemblies to fit proper application and ease of installation and inspect equipment to ensure conformity with the build sheet
Resolve technical problems and provide training to customers on proper hose assembly
Uninstall and install hose assemblies on equipments for plant maintenance or emergencies at the customer’s premises or operation site following safety procedures and guidelines
Required Skills
knowledge and skill in using the different tools and machines involved in the production of hydraulic hose assembly (such as the crimping machine, skiving machine and the cutting machine) including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance;
knowledge and skill in using hand and power tools;
knowledge of the principles involved in production of hydraulic hose assembly;
knowledge and skill working with heavy equipments;
knowledge in the correct procedure and process to follow in making Manuli hydraulic hose assemblies;
knowledge of the different Manuli fittings and adaptors and identify different kind of thread size, sealing, size, SAE fittings, metric fittings, Japanese fittings, caterpillar fittings and others
possess strong skills and product knowledge of Manuli hydraulic hoses, fittings and the wide variety of product available to help the customer resolve technical issues using said product lines.
High School diploma;
at least two years of postsecondary training in hydraulics or mechanics;
experience and knowledge in reading mechanical and hydraulic diagrams, schematics, and models and the ability to interpret manufacturing drawings of different machines provided by the OEM to determine pressure lines, high temperature requirements based on operation and other consideration
