Summary

Phoenix, AZ. Overview: Position develops the plan of care and assumes total nursing care of diabetic patients. Responsible for diagnosis, planning, treatment, and follow-up of diabetic patients within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Establishes a patient base as requested by the Medical Liaison and Administration. Assists patients and employees according to established guidelines. Manages day to day operations. Directs, supervises, orients/trains and evaluates staff. Enforces policies, procedures and standards of operation. Position has budgetary or fiscal accountability. Manages the staff to meet designated goals. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning. Minimum Requirements: Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing School with a Nurse Practitioner Certificate or a Master's Degree. 2 years current experience as a Nurse Practitioner required. Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure and Current Nurse Practitioner Certificate. Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure and Current Nurse Practitioner Certificate and Current CPR and ACLS and DEA certifications. Preferred Qualifications: 3 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient clinic. Experience in an adult clinic setting desired. Five years in acute care nursing as a registered nurse preferred. ADA or AADE accredited outpatient diabetes center experience preferred. CDE preferred or able to attain CDE or BC-ADM in 1 year from date of hire. The ideal candidate will have a background in running a clinic as well as diabetes. The most important piece of the job is managing a clinic - from both a staff perspective as well as the financials. Salary 75,000 to $110,000
